The Loose Lace

Ages 6-9

Nadav bends over his shoe. One lace hangs loose. He leaves it untied and straightens up.

Beside the bench, his brother steps toward the path.

Nadav takes a step after him.

His shoe stops. His knee bends against the bench's edge.

Nadav turns toward his brother.

He points down.

The end of his lace lies beneath his brother's shoe. Nadav keeps his finger beside it.

His brother lifts his foot.

Nadav bends down. He gathers the loose lace and tucks it inside his own shoe.

He steps onto the path beside his brother.

Both shoes stand on the path. Between them, the path is clear.
