The Green Door

Ages 6-9

Bati follows her friend around the pretend museum.

Each picture has a little paper frame. Her friend tells her what every picture shows.

At the first one, Bati sees a small green door in the corner.

Her friend is already at the next frame.

"This one is the garden."

Bati stays beside the green door.

"Wait. I want to look at this part."

Her friend comes back.

"It's only a door."

Bati points beneath it. A drawn path turns through the grass and disappears behind a tree.

Her friend leans closer.

Bati follows the path with her finger. At its end, a little brown shape looks like a basket.

"What's there?"

Her friend checks the corner.

"I forgot that. It's the doghouse."

Bati looks once more, then walks to the garden frame.

This time her friend waits beside it while Bati finds the small gate at its edge.
