The Calf and the Lamb
Ages 6-9
Ezra's friend says the wrong name for the little animal in their pretend zoo.
"Baby sheep," his friend says, pointing to the calf.
Ezra laughs.
His friend puts down the animal.
Ezra reaches for it.
His friend pulls his hand away from the pretend fence.
Ezra leaves the calf where it is. He takes another animal from the basket.
"This one's a baby sheep."
He sets the lamb beside the calf.
His friend looks at both.
Ezra points to the calf.
"Baby cow."
His friend picks up the lamb and puts it inside the fence.
Ezra moves the calf beside it.
At the pretend gate, his friend brings over the big cow. Ezra holds the gate while the cow joins the calf.
