Sun and Clouds

Ages 6-9

Hinda's friend wants to read their pretend weather report from Hinda's drawing.

The drawing has three clouds and a wide yellow sun.

Her friend points to the largest cloud.

"Rain everywhere."

Hinda takes the drawing back.

"The sun is there, too."

Her friend reaches for it again.

Hinda puts it against the wall between them.

She points to the sun, then the cloud.

"You can do this part. I'll do that part."

Her friend moves beside the cloud side.

Hinda stands beside the sun.

Her friend starts the pretend report. She describes the dark cloud and a rainy place beneath it.

Hinda waits until she finishes. Then she describes the sunshine at the other edge.

They step away from the wall. The wide yellow sun stays beside all three clouds.
