One Thing About It

Ages 6-9

Elad's friend asks him to guess the animal hidden beneath a cup.

Elad guesses cow.

His friend shakes his head.

Elad guesses horse, then sheep.

His friend shakes his head again and holds the cup closer.

Elad reaches to lift it.

His friend pulls it away.

"Guess."

Elad puts his hand on his own knee.

"Give me one thing about it."

His friend looks beneath the cup.

"It has a long neck."

Elad looks at the toy animal basket. A giraffe's head rises above its edge.

"Giraffe?"

His friend lifts the cup.

The small giraffe stands inside.

Elad picks up the cup for the next turn. He puts a different animal beneath it.

Before his friend guesses, Elad says, "It has two long ears."

His friend looks at the basket. Beneath Elad's cup, a small rabbit waits with its ears pressed against the paper rim.
