One Change
Ages 6-9
Naama's friend wants to play pretending every word is a different word.
"Chair means tree," her friend says.
Naama sits on the pretend tree.
"And door means soup."
Naama looks toward the real door.
Her friend says three more changes. Naama leaves her pretend chair and stands beside the game rug.
"Only one change for me."
Her friend keeps her fingers lifted for the next words.
Naama points to the chair.
"This one can be a tree. The others stay."
Her friend looks at the chair.
She sits on the chair with both feet on the floor and pretends to pick an apple from the air.
Naama holds up an empty paper basket.
Her friend drops the pretend apple in.
Naama carries the basket through the doorway.
